LAWTON PARK
Owner • Lawton Consulting Services, LLC
Lawton Park is an expert advisor whose worldly perspective was shaped by a unique international upbringing. Initially raised in Houston, he spent four years attending international schools in Bangkok, Thailand, and Baguio, Philippines. Those early adolescent years gave me a greater appreciation of non-western customs. These foundational global experiences provided him with a sophisticated understanding of diverse cultures before he returned to Texas to graduate from Memorial High School in 1969. Following his entry into the professional workforce, he dedicated himself to academic and athletic excellence at Texas A&M University, where he lettered on the tennis team from 1969 to 1973. This competitive drive led him to professional tenures as a tennis instructor in both Houston, TX, and Aspen, CO, building the professional tenacity he carries today. On a personal note, Lawton maintains that marrying Christina, originally from Cali, Colombia, was the best decision of his life; the couple recently celebrated 51 years of marriage together. Reflecting on his consulting work, Lawton integrates an interest in worldly perspectives inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh's book, The Art of Living, specifically the concept of “Continuation, Transformation, Remanifestation.” He views every business evolution as a natural shift in state, much like the teaching: “The rain is a remanifestation of the cloud.” This philosophy allows him to guide clients through complex transitions, ensuring that their past experiences serve as the catalyst for their future success. “There is vitality in everything; the entire cosmos is radiant with vitality.”
Global View
Strategic excellence requires more than just statistics; it demands the wisdom to recognize how history and environment influence future potential. From his Texas origins to his formative years in Southeast Asia, Lawton provides a distinctive viewpoint on international commerce and human synergy. Today, Lawton Consulting Services, LLC collaborates with leaders to decode complexity and drive growth via this multi-faceted lens.
